At our latest project on Monterey Street in Laguna Beach, we had the pleasure of designing and installing custom cabinets for the residence’s ADU, affectionately called the “casita.” This project showcases our expertise in creating bespoke cabinetry that meets the client’s needs and preferences.

- Kitchen Cabinets: Paint grade materials
- Kitchen Island & Office Cabinets: White oak with a custom stain
- Doors & Drawer Fronts: Shaker style
- Cabinet Construction: Frameless full overlay, built with ¾” domestic maple plywood
- Drawer Boxes: 5/8″ solid maple with dovetailed joinery
- Hardware: Blum hinges and glides with Blumotion soft-close

- Office Doors: Cane/rattan panels
- Integrated Appliance Panels: Dishwasher and refrigerator
- Kitchen Island: Built-in microwave and Rev-A-Shelf waste roll-out system
- Kitchen Corner Cabinet: Rev-A-Shelf Cloud Corner system
- Kitchen Pantry Cabinet: Roll-out drawers
- Office Cabinets: File drawers, pencil drawers at the desk, and floating shelves
Challenges & Solutions: The project went smoothly overall, with the contractor staying on schedule and the clients being great to work with. The one hiccup we faced was the floor being ready before the cabinets. To keep things on track, we set the toekicks early so the contractor could proceed with the floor while we finished the cabinets.
CAD Precision: All new cabinetry was drafted in Cabinet Vision, a CAD program that ensures clear client expectations and helps prevent issues during installation. We’ll be sharing CAD images alongside the finished project photos to highlight the precision and planning involved.
