We recently refaced this kitchen in Laguna Beach, CA. We achieved this euro look using the existing face frame cabinets by refacing them with high gloss white acrylic. We installed new doors and drawers, all with new Blum soft close hardware, after the cabinet refacing was completed. The clean glossy panels and thin reveals between doors and fronts definitely gives this kitchen a brand new lease on life!
Cabinet refacing is not a long or difficult process. Usually, we can transform your kitchen in 4-5 days! We begin by protecting your floors and counters with coverings. The old doors and drawers are removed and hauled away. We hang some plastic barrier, then begin prepping your existing cabinets for refacing. This includes making any changes or modifications to existing cabinetry, even replacing or installing new cabinets, to achieve any layout changes needed. We sand the exterior surfaces of the cabinets and laminate them with a new material. Often, that material is wood veneers, acrylic sheets such as this kitchen, or thermofoil laminated. New moldings, doors, and drawers are installed, then we install any new convenience hardware such as waste roll out systems and lazy susans. After installing your cabinet pulls, we clean up and leave your home with a beautiful new kitchen, ready for use!
