The once “clean white” look had become bland and boring. The drawers were coming apart, and the thermofoil was peeling off the doors, as is common with cheap cabinets. This is why we use the highest quality materials and processes available to us, and we design with intention.
After a free consultation with our client, we decided on some moderate changes to accommodate new appliances and add convenience features such as:
- A spice pull-out
- A utensil pull-out
- Heavy-duty pot & pan drawers
- Lighted display cabinets with glass fronts
- Undercabinet LED lighting integrated into new display cabinets with black interiors
- Luxurious black satin thermofoil for the doors, drawer fronts, and applied panels
This installation took about two weeks to complete. We removed the old doors and drawers, making modifications for the new appliances. The over-the-cooktop microwave was removed and replaced by a range hood, as the focal point of your kitchen should not be a microwave. Space for the microwave was made left of the sink, and two drawers were created underneath to maximize space and efficiency. The cooktop was removed, and the existing countertop was cut to fit a new cooktop with front-facing controls. The oven was removed, and the cabinet opening modified to fit the new double oven. The new suite of Zline appliances also included a new dishwasher and refrigerator. The new display cabinets were installed, and the integrated interior and under-cabinet LED lighting was connected. LED lighting was also installed at the peninsula back and the back side of the island toekick.
Once these major components were completed, we finished off the cabinet refacing with new doors, drawers, roll-outs, and moldings.
